The Safety-Wedge is the ultimate doorstop. The Safety-Wedge is the only doorstop in the market that can be securely attached to an item for storage. Doorstops are often lost in a cluttered drawer or left on the ground next to the last door they were used on, where they are often kicked, lost or become tripping hazards. That is not a problem thanks to the Safety-Wedge’s interlocking ends. The interlocking ends allow the user to securely attach the Safety-Wedge to door knobs, drawer handles, mop buckets, tool belts, or other items for storage at home, the office, or on the go. Because of the Safety-Wedge’s patent pending one-piece design the Safety-Wedge can be stored securely without the use of any additional accessories.

Normal doorstops are very hard and hollow on the inside. While designing the Safety-Wedge we went through 6 prototypes until we found a design and durometer that would be most effective at delaying a door from opening or closing. The internal rib structure inside the Safety-Wedge was the key element in designing the Safety-Wedge to keep a door from moving. The internal rib structure is unique because when pressure is applied to the door the Safety-Wedge folds up in to itself creating a barricade that provides extra stopping power. If a door is being stopped by the Safety-Wedge, a parent won’t have to worry about a child pulling on a door and the door breaking free, slamming shut potentially causing injury or worse thanks to the internal rib structure. The internal rib structure is also important for stopping heavy doors often found in office or apartment buildings. The Safety-Wedge is patent pending for Utility and Design patents.

Most average doorstops are made in China with hard plastics and are left on the ground where they can be picked up and chewed on by pets or small children. The Safety-Wedge was proudly designed and is manufactured in the United States with FDA approved materials. That means the Safety-Wedge is safe for pets and children.
