The CG-Lock is manufactured out of steel and is robust and heavy to address the
demanding needs of specialty markets, including the performance driving, police, first
responder, off-road, and military markets, and fits on most seatbelts found in motor
vehicles. Installation is easy, quick and can be done by the user in two minutes or
less. The CG-Lock attaches to the seatbelt slip tongue behind where the lap belt
webbing passes through the slot to become the shoulder belt. The CG-Lock has a
temporary release lever.

SeatSnug employs the same core CG-Lock technology, but is designed to meet the needs
of the consumer market without the weight and robustness required by performance drivers,
first responders and the military. SeatSnug is produced primarily out of thermoplastic and
designed so that it can be produced in a variety of colors, textures and finishes to
complement vehicle interiors. It is half the weight of the CG-Lock, is easier to install without
the need for tools, has an “on-off” feature and can be produced at a lower manufacturing
cost. SeatSnug’s first commercial market is child safety and the initial focus is on children in
booster seats since children in booster seats are at risk of injury and death due to instability
caused by seatbelt slack. SeatSnug has also been validated for use by older post booster
seat children and adults, opening the door to the entire consumer market.

Apart from its aftermarket products, LBC has developed several Original Equipment (OE) versions of the CG-Lock that could be incorporated into a motor vehicle’s original passenger restraint (seatbelt) safety equipment. These OE versions would be designed into the seatbelt slip tongue, and would function as a normal slip tongue – transparent to the passenger - until the seat belt is buckled up. OE versions are available in two forms – Passive OE and Active OE. Although the company has commenced discussions with major vehicle manufacturers and their seatbelt suppliers, the current economic state of the automotive industry is impeding progress on the OE applications. However, discussions are heating up with vehicle manufacturers regarding aftermarket versions of the CG-lock technology.

All intellectual property has been assigned to the company: U.S. Patent 6,938,925 – Granted September 6, 2005; U.S. Patent 7,185,919 – Granted March 6, 2007; Japanese Patent 4,146,355; Granted June 27, 2008. An additional U.S. patent is pending, as are specific European Union and Canadian patents and PTCs. All patents were prepared, filed, and managed by large, well recognized and regarded patent firms specializing in industrial IP and technology intensive industries.

Registered trademarks have been obtained for CG-Lock and SeatSnug.

PERFORMANCE DRIVING MARKET
LBC has established a strong market presence in specialty markets where the CG-Lock has
enjoyed traction and success – Performance Driving and Police, Fire and Emergency
Vehicles. While the growth opportunities are far less than those provided in the consumer
markets, LBC will continue to expand and grow its market presence for the CG-Lock in these
specialty markets. As opportunities arise with distributors serving these and other specialty
markets, LBC will continue to expand its efforts to garner additional business.
The "performance driving" market is broadly defined as "daily driver" cars that are "driven
hard and fast" on weekends. For example, the man or woman who owns a
sports car he or she uses to commute all week, then "plays with" on the
weekend. "Play" may include hot laps on a track, rally, autocross, drag
racing, drifting, ice racing, and “aggressive” driving. In addition, the
majority of the sport compact car culture (tuners) and motorsport fans are
included.
The total number of drivers between 17 and 60 is estimated at roughly 150
million. According to the Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association’s
(SEMA) research 18% to 22% of all drivers consider themselves
enthusiasts. Based on the total number of drivers being 150 million, and
18% being enthusiasts, the market size for the performance driver market
is initially approximated at 27 million.
For performance drivers, getting from point “A” to “B” isn’t a task; it is an opportunity to
practice the art of driving. They are more sophisticated about cars and how to drive them.
They base much of their car buying decisions on car “feel” and “drivability”. And, they all want
improved performance. These drivers know something most drivers never think about:
factory-installed seatbelts offer very little to no lateral support during high-speed cornering or
during hard braking.
The CG-Lock was designed to solve the problem of loose seatbelts simply and in
