UP-N-AWAY Track, Holiday Light Track System is like having a drapery rod outside to hang holiday lights. You would not go up and down the ladder to open and close your curtains so why go up and down the ladder to put up your exterior home holiday lights. UP-N-AWAY Track consists of a permanently installed track and clips that snap on the owners existing holiday lights. The rounded clips slide in one end of the track and the light string can be pulled along the track to the other end. A special camlock locks the lights in place. To remove the lights, simply unlock and pull in the opposite direction. The lights store tangle free on a compact storage rack in the correct order to go back up easily the next year. It works for Christmas, 4th of July, Halloween and other specialty lights of any type. There are videos available to see it in action. UP-N-AWAY Track was introduced at home shows where it received rave reviews and and was called best new product. UP-N-AWAY Track was one of 100 companies out of 1000's that applied to be invited to display at Invent Now in Orlando, Florida in 2004 sponsored by the USPTO, QVC and the Inventors Hall of Fame. A light decorating survey of homes in the Phoenix area showed 50% of home owners decorated and extended across the nation that means 58 million households hang exterior lights at Christmas. If 3% purchased track kits as at the Home Shows the potential sales are in the millions of kits. UP-N-AWAY Track is licensed at this time by one small Holiday Light company (non-exclusive license) and they sell primarily in Canada. Canadians surprisingly decorate with lights more than Americans. Number sold is approximately 5000. It is also sold via the website and one small catalog company that has indicated they sell well and offer a significant advantage over the hooks, hangers and other devices on the market.
