The first thing you will notice when you open the package is that all of the materials needed are provided and pre-cut. There is no measuring required, just place the fabric around tree/plants/yard decor or directly on the ground depending on what your are using it for, slide the edging into the sewn pocket on the fabric, and secure with included landscape pins. The Tree Ring Planter uses DeWitt 12 year weed barrier fabric that helps to retain moisture and prevent important nutrients from washing away. This enviroment also promotes beneficial earthworms and micro organisms. With no digging required, the edging securely holds mulch and decorative stone in place, but has a low enough profile to allow your lawn mower to pass over the edge without damage to the ring or its contents.

The ring can even be used with surface root installations!

I am the designer of this product that is now being manufactured by the DeWitt company. Reaction to the product by both professionals and home owners has been very positve, including an A+ rating on a news segment "Does It Work Wednesday" After this show aired sales where active for a small broadcast area.
The DeWitt company has had sales to different distributers and wholesalers but because of product recognition, sales are slow.
