The Buddy Shower Systemis a laminated, waterproof poster imprinted with a series of instructional prompts featuring easily understood cartoon which detail the basic steps to properly clean the body when showering. Configured specifically to be installed within any bath or shower.
The Buddy Shower System would provide an easily followed tutorial for children or adults with disabilities on how to properly clean their bodies.
Manufactured of waterproof, laminated poster board material, The Buddy Shower System would be a rectangular shaped unit measuring an ample 30" -36" in height by 18" -24" in width. Positioned on the underside of the unit would be 5 strips of Velcro, 1 on each of the 4 corners and 1 in the center, for easy mounting The Buddy Shower System directly to the tub or shower wall.
Boldly written across the top would be the phrase, "How To Shower", offering a visual reminder of the purpose of the chart.
Most notably, the surface of the poster board would be divided into a series of 20 cartoon cells, inside of which "Buddy" a gender and race neutral individual is pictured stepping into the shower, applying soap to a washcloth, washing his/her face, hair, underarms, upper and lower torso, as well as genitals and buttocks.
Each action shown in this series would be featured in a numbered individual cell, so as to provide a clear visual that would not confuse or frustrate the user. The Buddy Shower System can be easily followed and utilized by a mentally disabled or autistic individual on a daily basis as they perform this important hygiene ritual.
