Ceramabrush® was originally designed to be self-cleaning hair brush with a mirror. During the testing and design phase of the brush, it was learned that if you heat Ceramabrush® with a blow dryer the brush would take on the properties of flat/curling irons and produce similar hair styling results. The reason for this is that the cleaning plates on the brush are coated with ceramic material, the same type of ceramic material used in the manufacture of flat irons and curling irons.

Flat irons and curling irons have ceramic material coating metal filaments, which allows for the transfer of heat from the inside out. Flat irons and curling irons are typically powered with electricity. They use high heat, often upwards to over 450 degrees. According to medical experts, such high heat is very damaging to your hair.
By contrast, when using a blow dryer and Ceramabrush®, the heat is transferred from the outside in. A blow dryer might reach a top heat of 200 degrees, which is far less damaging to your hair. No one ever realized that heating the ceramic material from the outside with less heat could produce the same results until Ceramabrush® was introduced.

When heated with a blow dryer the Ceramabrush® cleaning plates change color from black to red. The purpose of changing the plate color is to indicate to the user that the brush is ready for use. Maximum heat used to change the color is only 145 degrees, almost 3 times less heat used to style your hair.

The high heat that is produced using flat/curling irons strips the nutrients out of your hair. Stripping your hair of its natural nutrients can and will cause frizzy hair, split ends, and hair breakage. After your hair has been damaged from high heat the hair industry then tries to sell you products to “fix” the problem. The “fix” products are not the answer. The only way to replace those nutrients and repair damaged hair is through subsequent hair growth.
In addition to allowing the user to create a sleek, sexy hairstyle without the use of a flat iron or curling iron Ceramabrush® is very versatile. You can use Ceramabrush® as regular brush, a vent brush, or as a styling tool. A simple adjustment on the knob/slide converts the Ceramabrush® into a vent brush. Using a vent brush with a blow dryer creates more airflow, which speeds up the drying process. No other brushes on the market today are as versatile as Ceramabrush®.
