These 24" boy and girl Angel comfort dolls with a precious smiling face, terrycloth body and polyfiber filled are environmentally safe and the perfect answer to those looking for "green toys" for their children. They come with a mesh bag for machine washing. They are meant to offer comfort with their long arms that Hug You back and Heavenly Hug is embroidered down one arm. The girls come in Pink, Lavender and Red trim and the boy has blue trim.

Heavenly Hug Angels were created by Gloria Mecca, a mother who lost her son tragically. Gloria says that she believes that any parent who has lost a child can relate to the unbearable pain one experiences with such a loss. There is a big hole in your heart one, five, ten years down the road--a place that remains empty forever.

In the early days following her loss, she started to meditate to help get through and one day during meditation a clear image of an angel doll appeared to her. She got up, drew what she had seen and created the first Heavenly Hug Angel.

Although these little Angels were initially intended for terminally ill and abused children or as a comfort for someone who lost a loved one, Heavenly Hug Angels are perfect for any child or adult going through hard times or to just be a companion to share your joyful times. Grown children are buying them for their elderly parents in nursing homes and a boy Angel was added to the collection because boys need hugs too.

Heavenly Hug Angels were awarded two honors: 10 Best Socially Responsible and 100 Best Products 2008 by Stevanne Auerbach, Ph.d, a.k.a. Dr. Toy, who has been promoting child education and play for over 25 years.

A hug can be a very powerful gesture especially to a child who is missing someone or an adult who is separated from family or living alone. Sending a Hug to someone across the miles no matter their age is reminding someone that they are loved.

Because Heavenly Hug Angels were intended to be a very special companion, it was decided that the child/adult should make that choice and an angel shaped I.D. tag is attached to the Angel's arm with a space to write the name chosen for this new best friend.

Loved ones in nursing homes, patients with Alzheimer's, those suffering from bereavement, patients with terminal illnesses and people who are alone find the Angel to be a comforting companion.

We have people ordering them for grandchildren whose parents are going through a divorce.

A woman who lived alone bought one for herself because she said she would be alone for the holidays and wanted someone to hug her. Another woman bought one for her father who just lost his spouse of many years.

They are being given as gifts to children and adults in hospitals. A woman bought one for a friend who was hospitalized and weeks later the woman said she was still sleeping every night at home with her Angel.

These Angels were tested in kindergarten environments. Three months after they were brought in a little boy asked the teacher where that Angel was that hugged him. The teacher said she tried to give him other stuffed toys but he said "but they don't hug me".

Prior Sales Activity:The doll went on the market in May, 2008 and sold 400 units. They are presently being sold on my website and in local gift shops and hospital gift shops.

People and organizations have bought them as donations to children's hospitals.

The adult market was a surprise. Adult children are buying for parents or grandparents in nursing homes and for Alzheimer's patients.

We will be advertising on national TV within next couple months and presently being advertised in magazines in L.A. It will also appear in restaurant trivia pages in California, Texas, Arizona and Washington state.
