inShield Wiper is made up of two distinct elements. A microfiber pad for cleaning and a patented base to which it attaches. The patented base consists of a hard but flexible layer, attached to a cushiony surface with elastic straps that allows the base to sit snuggly on the back of your hand. The cushion absorbs the pressure of your knuckles while the hard surface allows the attached microfiber pad to stay in full contact with the glass at all times. This results in constant pressure being applied to the microfiber pad vs just the knuckles causing the pressure if microfiber is used without the inShield Wiper base. The micro fiber pad is attached to the inShield Wiper base by hook and loop (Velcro) so that it can be repositioned to get to those hard to reach areas of the windshield down by the dashboard, that are extremely hard to clean. inShield Wiper also has uses in the house. It is ideal for cleaning expensive flat-screen TVs because when used on the palm of the hand, it absorbs any undue pressure which could cause damage to the glass surface of a TV or monitor.
